Every family is a love story

Amora comes from amor, love. Amora Tree exists to help families hold on to each other: the names, the faces, the stories and the love that connects them.

How it started

Amora Tree began as one family’s private tree: a way to keep track of grandparents, great-aunts and cousins scattered across countries, and to answer the questions that come up at every family gathering. Who was she? How are we related? Where did they live?

As more relatives wanted to add what they knew, one thing became clear. A family tree is mostly about people who never signed up for it. Their phone numbers, email addresses and home addresses deserve real protection. So we made privacy the foundation, not a feature: privacy first, privacy always.

What we believe

  • Families come first. Every design choice starts with the grandparent, the cousin and the child in the tree.
  • Privacy is a promise, not a setting. Personal details are end-to-end encrypted, never shared with other people and never visible to AI.
  • Together, never overwritten. Everyone can contribute. Nobody’s work is silently replaced.
  • Your history should outlive any app. Open formats like GEDCOM mean your tree is always yours to take with you.
  • Honest by default. We say plainly what we can and can’t do, including that we can’t recover a lost recovery key.

Where we are now

Amora Tree is in development and coming soon. We’re testing it with real families first, and we’ll open in stages to the US, the UK and beyond. An independent security audit is planned before launch.
