Everything you need to map your family

Amora Tree brings the whole family together: the tree, the memories and the people who share them, with privacy built into every corner.

The tree

A family tree that’s a joy to build

Tap to add a parent, partner or child, and watch your family take shape. It stays quick and clear as your family grows.

  • Centre on anyone. Put any relative at the heart of the tree and see their family around them.
  • Bloodline and Family views. Follow a direct line of ancestors, or see everyone, partners and in-laws included.
  • Find anyone instantly. Search by name and jump straight to them.
  • Map my family. See where your family was born, lived and settled on a map, across generations and continents.
  • Dates your way. US or UK date formats, approximate dates like “about 1950”, and time zones handled properly.

Relationships

Every kind of family fits

Families are wonderfully complicated. Amora Tree records them as they really are.

  • Partners and marriages, including more than one over a lifetime.
  • End reasons, such as divorce, separation or a partner passing away, recorded kindly.
  • Non-biological parents: adoptive, step, foster and guardian, side by side with birth parents.
  • Half-siblings and step-siblings worked out for you.
  • Events, places and sources so every fact can say where it came from.

Memories

Photos, notes and the stories behind them

A tree is more than names and dates. Keep the wedding photos, the letters and the stories everyone tells at Christmas.

  • Photos and notes on every person, safely stored and quick to load.
  • Custom fields for whatever matters to your family, from a favourite recipe to a home town.
  • Edit history with Undo. Every change is saved, with who made it and when, and Undo is one tap away.
  • No lost work. If two people edit the same person at once, Amora Tree spots the clash and keeps both safe.

Together

Built together, one branch at a time

Invite your family into your tree. Everyone adds what they know, and you stay in charge.

  • Branch invites. Each invitee sees their own branch of the family, not the whole tree.
  • Roles that make sense: owner, co-owners, super admins, branch admins and members.
  • Owners see everything, and it’s clearly labelled so nobody is surprised.
  • Anything a contributor adds to your tree is yours to see. What people build in their own accounts stays theirs unless they share it.
  • Secure sign-in with passkeys and two-step verification.
  • When someone leaves, the family facts they added stay, their own photos and notes go with them, and History shows “Former member”.

Two-way sharing

Your tree, their tree, and a link between them

Relatives can have their own account and their own tree, and choose what to share back. Nobody’s work is ever overwritten.

  • Starter copies. Give a relative their part of the tree to own and build on, with personal details removed.
  • Two independent choices. You decide what they see of yours; they decide what you see of theirs.
  • Suggestions, never overwrites. Differences and new facts arrive as suggestions you accept or decline.
  • Clash resolution and duplicates. When two trees disagree, or the same person appears twice, you see both versions side by side and choose.
  • Living relatives and children get extra protection in anything you share, by default.
  • Stop sharing any time. Live views and updates stop immediately. A starter copy you already gave stays with its new owner, and we tell you that plainly before you share.

AI assistant

Ask your tree anything

Connect your tree to the AI assistant you already use, through the open Model Context Protocol (MCP), and talk to your family history.

  • Plain-language answers: “How is Noah related to Grandpa Leo?” “Show me Maya’s family.”
  • Your tree, right in the chat, interactive and easy to explore.
  • Careful edits: the AI shows you every change first, waits for your OK, and everything can be undone.
  • You choose what AI can see, field by field.
  • Personal details are never visible to AI. Not as a setting, as a rule.

Apps

On every device, even offline

Native apps for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac and Windows, plus the web app at app.amoratree.com.

  • Works offline. Edit on a plane or in a village with no signal, and it syncs when you’re back.
  • Fast everywhere, with an encrypted copy of your tree on your own device.
  • Personal details open only in our signed apps. The web app never decrypts them.
  • One account across all your devices.
